SANDERS 1907
has been serving dinner since July 15, 1982.
Bob & Lynda Evenson started the restaurant, then
at 312 Kittson Avenue. We still have the
booths that Lynda painted. The building
was completed by Sander Johnson (Lynda's
Grandfather) hence the name SANDERS 1907.
I
arrived in 1985 and bought the building and
business in 1989. It was the best move of
my life, next to marrying Beth in 1990!
In 1997 the restaurant went under water with the
rest of Grand Forks. We were in exile on
South Washington (Not a bad thing!) until we
opened downtown July 15, 2000. To the many
that worked to create the New Joint, thank you,
THANK YOU!
Beth & I
would especially like to thank EAPC
Architects & Engineers.
The firm that took my drawings and made them a
reality. Alan, Jim, Linda & Staff, your
patience with me and your understanding of
Beth's and my vision showed us the way!
To
Custom Millwork Incorporated. The
builders and General. Harold, Louie &
Crew, Wow! What beautiful work and
workmanship. Also, your good humor when I
made changes as we went. The Joint
couldn't look better!
To
Economy Plumbing, Rich, Tom & the Boys.
You've been fixing my old pipes since I got to
town. I'm sure it was a rush using new
"stuff." Thanks guys, you are the best.
To D&D
Heating and Sheet Metal, you made a
difficult job look easy. An extra thank
you for the finish work at the end, it seemed to
change every week.
To D.R.
Hilde Drywall, to Connect Electric,
to Color Tile, to Adams Hardwood Floor
Sanding. Thank You! Caya Painting,
thanks Pal, you've got the gift. Chad and
Adam you did a spectacular job painting Sanders.
An extra special thanks to Adam Kemp, a
jack of all trades and a master of them all
(appearing daily at Kosmos).
To
Bremer Bank: "Thank you for letting me by
myself again."
Thank You All!
